Our personal injury law firm is seeking a full-time motivated, skilled paralegal to join the team in our Lexington office to help make a difference in the lives of injured clients. You’ll play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from intake through settlement or trial. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file legal documents (complaints, discovery, motions, correspondence, etc.)
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and courts
- Manage case files and track important deadlines
- Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses
- Assist attorneys with each step of litigation including discovery and motion practice as well as trial preparation and organization of exhibits
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold firm standards of professionalism
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal (personal injury preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of state and federal court procedures
- Experience with state and federal e-filing systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Paralegal certification or a degree in legal studies
- Experience handling PI cases from intake to settlement/trial
