Title: PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: Paramus, NJ
Duration: 12+ months with possible extension
Rate: $60 to $70/hr on W2
On-site Requirement: Expected to report to the office at least 3 days a week
Position Purpose:
- A PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant is sought to optimize PeopleSoft ERP and related systems for utility operations.
- This role combines technical proficiency with business understanding to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business capabilities, managing system configurations, and overseeing business process flows.
- The consultant will stay current with finance application trends and industry best practices to implement innovative solutions.
- Working alongside the ERP Technical Manager, they will also develop Help Desk procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, service level agreements, and support protocols.
- The position requires strong collaboration with both business and technical teams to deliver effective system support and improvements.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong expertise in PeopleSoft business processes & system configuration for AP, GL, PC, and SCM modules
- Perform business process analysis, design, and optimization
- Troubleshoot using tools like SQL, code tracing, etc.
- Understand integration points between modules/systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, EPBCS)
- Gather and document business requirements
- Create functional specifications and solution designs
- Manage stakeholders effectively and communicate clearly
- Conduct user training and develop documentation
- Translate business needs into system solutions
- Participate in user acceptance testing and test script creation
- Demonstrate basic understanding of PeopleTools
Qualifications: Education / Experience / Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of experience in IT and ERP application support
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Techno-functional expertise in PeopleSoft AP, GL, PC, and SCM modules
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.59xx
- Proficiency in SQL
- Excellent communication and self-management skills
- Experience with PowerPlan preferred
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion/FCCS/EPBCS preferred
