Job Description

Are you experienced with horses, chickens, cats and dogs? Do you live in the Charleston, West Virginia area? If so, I am looking to hire a farm sitter and I'm ready to pay between $25-$30 daily. I am a small farm owner, and I am looking for someone who has experience caring for horses, chickens, cats and dogs. My wonderful aged horses, chicks and cats need a lot of attention and plenty of love! It is important to me to find someone I can trust to take care of my animals while I am away. What will be expected of you for this job:

  • Feeding and watering two horses twice a day, giving meds (powder and pills with morning grain) feeding hay, removing manure from stalls and paddock. General grooming.
  • Chickens just require gathering eggs, being sure they have water and giving them premade scratch every day
  • The two cats enjoy lots of pets and love. They would need to be fed twice a day.
  • Our dog usually accompanies us on trips but if she is there, Tess, would need a daily walk, fed twice a day and being sure she has water and she receives meds with her meals.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please message me directly. I would love to hear more about your experience and what makes you the perfect fit for this job. Please be prepared to provide 3 references from prior employers who are familiar with your work ethic and character. I look forward to hearing from you!
