Job Description

Title:  Pilot Plant Operator

Industry:  Mining

Workplace:  Boucherville, QC

Job status:  Full-time, permanent, (hired by employer, not by Evlv)

Work hours:  Monday to Friday; on-site,

Compensation and benefits: $80,000 to $95,000 per year (depending on experience) + dental, life, vision care, stock options

About the company recruiting for this position:

EVLV  has teamed up with a Montréal based mining company looking for a Pilot Plant Operator  to join their team. Specializing in metal ion extraction, purification and separation, the successful candidate will be responsible of handling the pilot plant equipment developed and assembled by the R&D team.

Requirements:

  • A technical Diploma in Industrial Process Technologies is a must
  • 5 years experience in an industrial setting
  • Proficient in Computer Software (excel, word, powerpoint, outlook)
  • Hands-on mechanical skills are an asset
  • Plant maintenance and processing experience is an asset
  • Bilingual

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Use an applied approach in performing moderate technological functions within the pilot plant operations in autonomous way
  • Test, install and operate equipment and setup systems
  • Conduct experimental testing in pilot scale by following provided procedures
  • Collect data during the pilot plant operation
  • Receive, inspect, sort and label client samples
  • Sort, crush, pulverize, split, and screen samples
  • Prepare, label, and send sample product to other laboratories or to the clients
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment or components
  • Calibrate and set up equipment when required
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Follow all Quality system protocols and report any discrepancies to the supervisor
