Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing Facility
Location: Dublin, VA. Must be willing to work primarily onsite.
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000
Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
TRC Talent is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager on behalf of our client—a leading manufacturer—who is ready to lead strategic and day-to-day HR functions at a fast-paced production facility. As part of the plant leadership team, you'll help shape a culture of safety, engagement, and performance while driving alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culture & Engagement: Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture by leading communication, coaching, and wellness initiatives. Support union avoidance strategies and champion continuous improvement.
- HR Strategy & Planning: Develop HR plans aligned with divisional and corporate goals. Lead workforce planning, succession management, and HR data reporting for better decision-making.
- Talent Acquisition & Development: Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts to attract and retain top talent. Promote the employer brand and ensure a smooth hiring experience.
- Performance & Rewards: Drive consistent performance management processes that recognize contribution, promote teamwork, and align with company values.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure fair and consistent application of policies. Advise on discipline, investigations, and workplace disputes.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage salary administration, wage planning, and employee benefits communication. Guide employees through leave policies and workers' compensation processes.
- Compliance & Records: Ensure compliance with employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.), and maintain accurate HRIS records. Support audits, reporting, and documentation best practices.
- Safety & Quality Support: Partner with safety and operations teams to reinforce safety practices and quality standards. Support training, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Analytics & Reporting: Generate and interpret key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, wage analysis) to support business insight and priorities.
Additional Duties:
- Represent the company through civic and professional organizations when appropriate.
- Participate in site leadership meetings and cross-functional projects.
- Stay current with HR trends through professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a management role
- Manufacturing/plant experience required; shift-based or 24/5 or 24/7 operations preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Union or union avoidance experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
