• Responsible for overall safety compliance and enforcement of federal, local, and Company procedures, policies and regulations.
  
\n
• Lead the safety and compliance function to ensure prevention of injury, illness, and property damage.
  
\n
• Manage medical and worker's compensation related activities.
  
\n
• Investigate and report accidents, near misses, first aid, recordables and lost time injuries.
  
\n
• Conduct periodic safety inspections throughout the facility.
  
\n
• Administer safety programs (i.e., Lock out/Tag Out, Confined Space/Ergonomic programs, Hot Work/Industrial Hygiene, etc.)
  
\n
• All other relevant duties to the job.
\n

\n
• Bachelor Degree in an environmental or health related science preferred.
  
\n
• 5+ years experience in safety management within an industrial environment.
  
\n
• Technical knowledge of OSHA laws, policies and regulations.
  
\n
• CSP (Certification as Safety Professional) preferred.
  
\n
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems.
  
\n
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  
\n
• Proficient technology and computer skills, including MS Office based programs.
