Plumber Apprentice/Ditch Hand| In this role you will… Assist our plumbing team with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals interested in learning the plumbing trade through hands-on experience. The role involves physical labor, outdoor work, and supporting licensed plumbers in commercial construction environments.
- Assist plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems
- Excavate and backfill trenches for water and sewer lines using hand tools and/or light equipment
- Prepare work areas, tools, and materials as directed by the lead plumber
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment at job sites
- Measure, cut, and assemble pipe or tubing sections as instructed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures
- Assist in testing plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation
- Perform general labor tasks and support other crew members as needed
What we look for: - Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn the plumbing trade
- Basic mechanical aptitude and use of hand/power tools
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Previous experience in commercial construction plumbing
- Knowledge of trenching, excavation, or pipe insulation
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus)
