Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms with our staffing services for over 65 years. We currently have a contract, or a contract-to-direct Process/Industrial Engineer opening at our national aerospace controls client in Valencia, CA. This is an onsite position. The contractor target pay rate range is from $50 - $75 per hour DOE.

As a Process / Industrial Engineer (an operations role) at the organization's Valencia location, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the business. You will work cross functionally with operations, quality and design engineering professionals engaged in production support, automation and lean activities to ensure our products meets functional & performance, reliability and quality requirements. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including other company sites will be essential to achieve the organization's goals.

  • Production Support : Participate in assembly & test reviews, optimization of production processes such as time studies and lean initiatives driving towards a continuous improvement environment.
  • Environmental, Development Test & Production Testing: Support efforts in development & environmental qualification of LRU assets and acceptance test equipment.
  • Support maintenance and safety programs and activities , to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency of our machines.
  • Resolution to any issue with on-time shipment of our various product lines. 
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other company sites and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment on engineering strategies. 
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. 

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Engineering ideal, but an Associate's degree with significant experience will be considered.

Min 5 years of aerospace experience within a production/manufacturing environment (ideally within an aerospace CNC machine shop). This ideally will include strong test equipment design, test engineering, environmental qualification, and manufacturing experience.

The above should also include:

  • Familiarity with aerospace & defense industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
