Job Description
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing the quality function to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company specifications for manufacturing products.
Responsibilities
- Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
- Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
- Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
- Support corporate and plant quality systems and procedures
- Review and respond to customer complaints as well as issue corrective action measures to prevent reoccurrence
- Interact with customers and customer service representatives to foster strong customer relationships
- Maintain all records related to quality standards and performance
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years of management experience
- Experience working with a quality management system
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
