Clinical Research Assistant

Location: Freehold, NJ or Somers Point, NJ

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week

Compensation: $21.00/hr – $26.00/hr (Based on experience)

We’re looking for a Clinical Research Assistant to support daily clinic operations and contribute to groundbreaking clinical research. If you're detail-oriented, people-focused, and eager to grow your career in clinical trials, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will:

  • Support the execution of clinical research protocols alongside a dedicated study team.
  • Work directly with patients to collect data, vital signs, lab samples, and other key health information.
  • Coordinate trial logistics and documentation to ensure compliance with protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about ongoing clinical studies.
  • Support recruitment efforts and community outreach events.

Your Responsibilities

  • Understand assigned study protocols and collaborate with Principal Investigators.
  • Adhere to protocol guidelines; obtain approvals for any deviations.
  • Collect and process lab specimens; perform ECGs, phlebotomy, vital signs.
  • Interview patients and gather medical/psychiatric information.
  • Maintain accurate, timely source documentation.
  • Assist coordinators with regulatory paperwork, filing, and patient tracking.
  • Communicate protocol or patient issues to the study team as needed.
  • Provide patients and families with resources and support.
  • Participate in community engagement and outreach events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare or clinical research settings (a plus)
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Phlebotomy Certification
