Job Description

This is a PartTime position

The Scale Operator is responsible for all facets of the operations of a truck weighing process. The duties include but are not limited to weighing trucks collecting and reviewing manifests recording all information in a computerized weighing system running reports sampling inbound materials and filing. The reporting and filing systems are primarily computerized. 

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions.
• Inspect paperwork and loads for inbound and outbound trucks. Enter all information into computer.
• Take samples of inbound material if required.
• Maintain order and housekeeping of scales and scale house.
• Complete daily reports maintain logs spreadsheets and other reports as assigned.

This is a parttime position. Standard days of work may include Monday through Friday 5 hours per day with occasional coverage for vacations.

The pay for this position is $20/hr.

Qualifications :

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Great attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience working with computerized scale systems and other similar software and equipment is helpful.
• Communication skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers vendors and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Computer programs including Excel and Word.
