Job Details ~ A DAY IN YOUR LIFE ~
- Interact closely with clients to provide innovative business tax planning, consulting and compliance services in a timely and effective manner
- Tax preparation services to include partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps and trusts in addition to 2nd level reviews of junior staff
- Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
- Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies
- Work closely with Partners, Senior Managers, Managers and staff on client management, professional development and business development activities.
~ THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ~
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- CPA or Enrolled agent preferred but not required
- Proven track record for business development a this would consist of a minimum of 25% of your job duties and will be an additional income outside of your base salary
- Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research
- Must have a strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices as you will be reviewing work performed by accounting and bookkeeping
- A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships (managing a team of about 10 direct reports)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Supervise, develop, train and mentor staff including performance and engagement reviews
- Attend professional development and continuing educations sessions on a regular basis
- Experience in income tax provision a plus.
