We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Production Control Buyer. This role is responsible for working with our supply chain on procuring manufactured parts that will be used in production assemblies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Your Impact:
Issue production POs based on established pricing and optimized quantities
Working with suppliers on shipping schedules to meet forecast and production needs. Ensure that production is supplied with needed parts for Manufacturing Orders
Communicates schedules of back ordered items and expedites parts when needed
Work with engineering on the execution and communication of engineering changes
Managing inventory levels to meet space and financial constraints
Your Experience and Qualification:
BS in business or technical field with 1-3 years' experience in procuring manufactured parts
An understanding of different manufacturing processes and the associated lead-time. A good understanding of costs associated with a given manufacturing process
Must be comfortable participating in negotiations with suppliers. Effective communication and people skills are required in corresponding with Suppliers, Production, R&D, and others in Procurement.
Proficiency in formatting, analyzing, and summarizing data in Excel. Proficiency in ERP system navigation, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), BOM structures and issuing and tracking POs
Proficiency in reading engineering prints. Experience in a manufacturing environment
Your Compensation
This position will be within the range of $54,797 - $110,000, based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 8% of the compensation.
