Title: Structural CAD Designer

Openings: 1

PR: 30 - 35 hourly (exact compensation depends on education, experience etc.)

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268

Schedule: Onsite, 5 days a week

Must-Haves:

• 1-3 years of experience within Structural Design.
• Fluent in AutoCAD
• Exposure to Revit
• Ability to handle multiple project simultaneously.
• Education: Certs or Associates or internship exp or bachelors = can count as experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industrial and commercial design experience

Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Structural CAD Designer to join a civil engineering firm in Indianapolis. This firm specializes in the construction and design of large-scale facilities across the manufacturing, industrial, and educational sectors. The CAD Designer will gain exposure to multiple projects simultaneously each month and will be expected to meet deadlines. They will work collaboratively with Senior CAD Designers, Staff Engineers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers to ensure project deadlines are met. Initially, the CAD Designer will shadow a Senior CAD Designer, gradually building up to independently working on projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Sr CAD Designers and Project Managers.
• Shadow more Senior Employees
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Suggest changes within design plans.
• Translate mark-ups into drawings.
