Essential Functions: Produce acceptable groove welds on code and non-code work in the flat, vertical, and horizontal positions, mainly utilizing the FCAW process. Produce acceptable fillet welds on code and non-code work in the flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. Have at least 3 years of experience in GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding processes. Pass standard fillet break tests and bend tests on groove welds; be trained and certified in multiple positions and processes, including welding on fracture-critical materials. Be experienced in using grinders and other hand and power tools typical in the welding industry. Work in an open-air environment during various weather conditions. Perform physically intensive tasks, including standing for many hours, and stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching. Report to work ready to perform duties in a drug-free environment. Maintain good hearing and vision for safety and operational effectiveness. Report on time and complete entire shifts. Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean and safe work area. Work effectively as part of a team and follow supervision’s directions attentively. Learn and develop skills to meet safety and quality standards.
