Job Description

Daily rate for serving as a certificated substitute nurse (per school year):

• Full Day - $140.00/day
• Half Day - $70.00/day

Rate after covering the same assignment for a minimum of 20 consecutive school days (per school year):

• $195.00/day

 

Hourly rate for serving as a substitute health assistant:

• $14.00/hr

Being a substitute with Amphitheater Public Schools in no way constitutes an assurance of a minimum number of assignments.

Employment is strictly on an on-call, as-needed basis.

Position Details

REQUIRED (substitute School Nurse):

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Arizona
• Current CPR and First Aid certification from the Red Cross, American Heart Association, or National Safety Council, for adults and children

 

REQUIRED (substitute Health Assistant):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR and First Aid certification from the Red Cross, American Heart Association, or National Safety Council, for adults and children
• One year of work experience as a health assistant, personal care technician, hospital ward clerk, physician's office or other equivalent experience in the medical profession

 

You must attach a copy of your license and CPR/First Aid certification  to be considered for this position.
