Direct Counsel has partnered with a national law firm wh o has an opening in multiple offices for a Tax Controversy Associate in their Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of relevant experience.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) and LLM in Taxation required . Must be licensed to practice law in the state where the office resides.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
• Tax controversy experience (audits, appeals) required.
• International tax experience required.
• Experience in tax litigation.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary range for this position applies to New York and Washington, DC. $225,000 - $265,000
