Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
- Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all tax regulations
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities
- Conduct research on new tax legislation, M&A, and estate/trust tax matters
- Supervise and mentor tax professionals; review complex filings
- Manage IRS/state audits and represent clients in disputes
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and legal teams for compliance
- Continuously improve internal processes for efficiency and risk reduction
You should have most of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA strongly preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably corporate tax
- Proven experience managing tax teams and external auditors
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Skilled in research, analysis, and problem-solving for tax planning
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
