Job Description

A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, offers you the opportunity to assist clients in managing their tax obligations across various specialties. You'll advise on local and international tax matters, act as a strategic consultant on business analysis, indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global tax solutions. Our team supports clients through mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, divestitures, partnerships, and insolvencies. Your focus will be on establishing treasury goals, analyzing tax assets, assessing risks, and modeling tax impacts.

The Opportunity:
Leading the Federal M&A team as a technology-enabled tax advisor, focusing on digitization, automation, and efficiency improvements. You will set strategic direction, lead business development, manage multiple projects, and maintain client relationships at the executive level. This role is pivotal for driving growth, shaping engagements, and mentoring future leaders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining and communicating strategic vision for the Federal M&A team.
  • Driving business growth with innovative tax services.
  • Overseeing multiple projects to ensure client satisfaction and quality.
  • Building and maintaining high-level client relationships.
  • Mentoring future tax leaders.
  • Utilizing technology to improve tax processes.
  • Upholding PwC's reputation for quality and integrity.
  • Collaborating across teams for integrated solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • JD, LLM, or Master's in Accounting or Taxation (in lieu of Bachelor's).
  • CPA, Bar membership, or other relevant credentials are advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Juris Doctorate preferred.
  • Expertise in tax consulting, planning, and transaction structuring.
  • Proven financial modeling skills.
  • Leadership in tax technical teams.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Automation and digitization in tax services.
  • Contract evaluation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
