Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. This role is essential in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while maximizing their financial benefits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting software and will be able to analyze client information effectively.

Duties

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenditures.
• Analyze clients’ financial situations to identify potential deductions and credits.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline the preparation process.
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify any discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information while providing exceptional customer service.
• Assist in resolving any tax-related issues or inquiries from clients.

Experience

• Prefer at least 3 to 5 years of proven experience in public accounting or as a tax preparer.
• Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial concepts to clients.
