Job Description

We are currently partnering with a local non-profit organization in their search for a Tax Preparer who will assist clients for this upcoming tax season. No previous experience is required!

This position is temporary and will go until the end of April 2025, but has a high possibility to be extended or go permanent for the right candidate. Our client is looking to fill this role at several of its locations across the Greater Boston area, but all offices require fully onsite work.

Compensation: $17 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Participate in online training sessions and pass online training assessment (These trainings will include usage of the tax preparation software and basic knowledge of tax laws)
• Effectively and accurately apply information from training
• Provide tax assistance to clients by ensuring all income, deductions, and allowable credits are claimed
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information

Qualifications:

• Resourceful and sharp; quick to adjust and pick up new information and skills
• Basic tax knowledge a plus
• Must be a strong multi-tasker
• Professional and poised at all times
• Able to communicate and work well with diverse populations

Preferred Languages (not required):

English, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Vietnamese, Haitian and Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese or French
