Job title: Surgical Assistant
Location: New York, NY 10003
Shift: 7 am - 5.30 pm(Mon - Fri)

• Escorts patients to the surgical chair, screens patients awaiting surgery, reviews medical record to confirm treatment required and to ensure that chart is complete in terms of notes, PHM lad results, etc. Must be available at all times to provide "four-handed” assistance to the clinicians.
• Ensures that all counter tops, mayo stands, equipment, etc., are cleaned and disinfected prior to setting up.
• Organizes all sterile instruments, surgical trays, equipment, etc. for each procedure in Operatory.
• Takes radiograph as requested, before, during and/or after the procedure. Restocks cabinets and drawers; orders and stocks medical/surgical supplies.

• Dental Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience required.

• Associate's Degree
