Job Description

Job Description

At Playwire, we empower publishers and creators with innovative technology that drives revenue and enhances user experiences. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to help shape the future of our partner-facing tools and platforms.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the entire design process—from discovery to final hand-off—working closely with product managers and engineers to craft intuitive, visually engaging solutions. You’ll be responsible for translating complex workflows into clean, user-friendly interfaces that align with both business goals and user needs.

You’ll conduct user research, develop wireframes and prototypes, and present your ideas to peers and stakeholders with clarity and confidence. Your attention to detail and commitment to visual excellence will help refine our design standards and maintain brand consistency across products. If you're energized by solving complex challenges, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and stay on the pulse of UI/UX trends, we’d love to meet you.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define and execute innovative design solutions that align with product vision and user needs.
  • Identify opportunities for improving existing user journeys, flows, and design components to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Execute all stages of visual design, from initial concept to final assets, ensuring designs are translated accurately for engineering implementation.
  • Transform written and verbal requirements into visually compelling design examples.
  • Generate original design concepts that simplify complex tasks and enhance user-friendliness.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate design and interaction ideas.
  • Present and defend design concepts and milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to inform and refine design decisions.
  • Adhere to style standards for typography and graphic design, while also developing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards to maintain brand continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated UI design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Experience in UI/UX design for SaaS and/or PaaS products.
  • Solid proficiency in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Ability to balance product, development, and user-centered goals to contribute to overall product strategy.
  • Capability to manage time effectively, producing deliverables in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for effectively presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and/or other visual design and wireframing tools.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping is a plus.
  • A critical eye for detail and a strong commitment to visual design excellence.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile development process
