We are seeking an energetic, experienced, NYS Certified Teacher to join our team! As a Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!
Responsibilities: - Follow Creative Curriculum and complete Teaching Strategies Gold online Assessments
- Prepare Lesson plans, to include small group and center learning activities
- Understand Developmentally Appropriate Practice and plan lessons and activities
- Prep for daily activities and classroom set-up
- Supervise a Teacher's Assistant
- Able to create and build out fun and engaging play themes
- Understand NYS Early Learning Standards
- Adhere to OCFS regulations
- Write anecdotal notes daily
- Document students learning progress weekly, online
- Collaborate with other teachers and public school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
- Report and document behavioral incidents
- Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Learn and adhere to the classroom systems and standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or higher and state teaching certification in Birth -2nd Grade
- Previous experience teaching at the PK- 3rd grade level is preferred
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management. ECERS
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines. OCFS Standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional Etiquette and Excellent attendance history
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized learning environment
- Maintain daily attendance and health checks.
