Job Description

24 Seven is partnering with a local company based in Portland, OR to help them find a Web Designer to join their team in this hybrid position. This is a 16 month contract starting late February through June of next year working 2-3 days/week onsite in Portland. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick hours and more.

Ideal Candidate: will have at least 4 years of relevant work experience and have strong knowledge in ADA accessibility standards.

We are seeking a Web Designer with a strong focus on accessibility to join our client's team. This contract role requires 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in ADA compliance and implementing accessibility standards on websites. This role is ideal for a Web Designer who understands code but focuses on the design side, ensuring accessibility and usability for all users.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure web designs comply with ADA accessibility standards
  • Collaborate with the greater team to enhance website usability
  • Work within HTML and CSS, handling several hundred pages
  • Apply UX design principles to create new, accessible web designs
  • Understand and work with raw HTML, but not in a developer role

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of web design experience
  • Strong understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility
  • Experience with HTML and CSS in a design capacity
  • Knowledge of UX design principles and their application
