smartdept. is searching for a Web Developer f or an design services client located in Miami, FL . The ideal candidate will come with 4+ years of experience. This is a remote, part-time (roughly 15 hrs/week) contract opportunity, with the possibility of an extension . Compensation for this position is expected to be $34-$37/hour depending on experience level and fit.

Web Developers should have experience in front-end development, and be well-versed in payment gateways, inventory management, navigation, and checkout operations. In addition to coding skills, job descriptions should also mention soft skills such as collaboration and participation in company culture.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with designers to implement custom themes and layouts.
• Create and customize e-Commerce using the Shopify platform.
• Optimizing websites for performance, security, and discoverability.
• Debugging and troubleshooting Shopify-based issues and integrations

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field
• A good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, and some experience with other languages like JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, React etc.
• SEO knowledge, and Performance optimization
• WooCommerce familiarity
